New Input Forms for the HmbBfDI

Today, an exciting project of ours has gone live. Last year, we started working with the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (HmbBfDI) to revise the existing data protection forms. The first ones to be launched are the complaint and tip-off forms. More forms will follow progressively.

The HmbBfDI is committed to protecting personal data in Hamburg and serves as a contact point for questions regarding the processing of personal data as well as for data protection complaints. These complaints can be submitted online via the website https://datenschutz-hamburg.de/. The previous form was static and very extensive. All users had to fill out the same input form regardless of the type of complaint.

The goal of the revision was to reduce complexity and significantly facilitate the electronic submission of a complaint for the user. To this end, the previously very extensive complaint form has been divided into five clearer, separate forms.

Additionally, we have built the new forms dynamically and equipped them with intelligent logic. Users are now guided through the form based on their inputs. Supportive tip fields ensure transparency and clearly explain how to fill out and use the form correctly.

The HmbBfDI also placed special emphasis on designing the forms in a data-saving manner. Personal data is never stored temporarily.
