The project.

As part of the MVP phase of the NEO project run by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Education, we were responsible — together with a technical service provider and a marketing agency — for the concept, design, and prototyping of the user interface as well as the visualization of the core processes.

Our task was to develop, from the existing brand concept, the technical conditions, and the functional requirements, a coherent, scalable design concept for a complex administrative application — from the information architecture through user guidance to the individual interfaces.

Tested click dummies, responsive design system

Through click dummies, core processes — from user management to applications for the preparatory service to ad-hoc surveys — were tested with target users and iteratively refined before their technical implementation. This allowed requirements to be validated early and the later application to be consistently aligned with users' needs.

Both desktop and mobile were supported as target systems. A fully responsive design system with reusable UI components ensures that all interfaces remain consistent, low-barrier, and efficient to use across devices. The design work was carried out entirely in Figma.
