The project.

Merz Maschinenfabrik has been building 4-system high-performance circular knitting machines for manufacturing medical compression stockings in Hechingen on the Swabian Alb since 1900.

The responsive web presence is clean and modern, presenting the company both as a family business in its 4th generation with a strong sense of tradition and, at the same time, as the world's leading manufacturer of knitting technology for compression stockings.

eyeworkers first designed a clear, well-organized UI to match the new brand relaunch. We extended the corporate design specifically for the web with web-appropriate fonts and new icons.

A standout feature of the website is the interactive presentation of the knitting machines. Special features and technological details of the machines can be explored via hotspots, with information displayed instantly on click. A direct comparison of the knitting machines is also possible.

In an internal customer area for different user groups, registered customers have access to various downloads and documentation for individual machines. We also integrated an external support tool that enables direct live support.

We built the website with a custom content management system based on PHP and Ext JS.
