TYPO3 multisites with AI chatbot integration
The project.
Karlsruher Bäder trusted us again for their second website relaunch!
Alongside the central Karlsruher Bäder site, where all locations are presented together, three pools such as the Europabad also have their own dedicated website.
In total, we implement 6 websites for Karlsruher Bäder, including a fan page for the mascot KAi the shark and a page for the Durlach campsite with a reservation request feature. The websites are built as a TYPO3 multisite and follow a consistent visual identity, while still offering enough room for individualization to address the different target groups of each pool.
Chatbot integration for more service
To guide visitors efficiently through the wide range of offerings, we integrated an AI-based chatbot developed in-house: sternenstaub.ai.
It draws on the multisite's content as a knowledge base and answers user questions in natural language, fully replacing the classic search function.

Multilingualism with DeepL in the backend
The Europabad Karlsruhe in particular, as a leisure pool close to the French border, also caters to French-speaking visitors. A multilingual website was therefore essential.
To keep the editorial effort as low as possible, the DeepL integration was built directly into the TYPO3 backend. Editors can now translate content into the desired language with a single click.
Technical foundation: TYPO3
For this relaunch too, we again relied on the TYPO3 CMS. The advantages are obvious: high flexibility, user-friendliness and optimal support for multi-domain projects.
