The project.

Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit is committed to the security of personal data in Hamburg. In this context, the authority is the contact point for questions on the processing of personal data and for data protection complaints.

We overhauled the website for Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit to create a contemporary, user-friendly platform. We developed an individual look and feel that reflects the atmosphere of the Hanseatic city. In addition to the website, we reworked the logo to create a clear design and improved legibility. To make the website easier for users to navigate, a new content concept was developed. Important forms are placed directly on the homepage, and statutory texts on specific topics are easy to find. On the "News" page, articles and announcements can be sorted by different categories, enabling a clear structuring of topics and a simplified search for specific content.

Content as articles

The website contains numerous articles, each of which can be tagged with up to three keywords. This makes it possible to display topic-related articles and present targeted content on specific pages. This feature gives website users a significant advantage, as they can discover content that may interest them without having to rely on conventional navigation.

Responsive website with TYPO3

The website was implemented with TYPO3. Another special feature of this project was the ability to manage complex permissions as well as its use as a multisite system. This allows the data protection authority to operate and maintain, alongside its main website, a further website, www.digitale-vorbilder.eu, with the same system. We also designed and developed this website.
